Great job pulling this one through. I like the use of color in his shirt.

Hi Jimmie,

Thanks, I'm going to try the light grey Stonehenge that you like so much on my next one. Charcoal of my husband, lots of wrinkles, hair (face not head), and character. I've never worked on such a smooth surface so this should be fun.

Jean, before you try the Stonehenge, read this by Mike about Juan's original post where he does'nt recommend Stonehenge for charcoal. If you're doing pencil, then please post the results and your experience with the paper. In case you'd like to know, I use the smoother side. Both sides are smooth, but one side, the lighter side is a little smoother.

Thanks Jimmie,

Maybe I'll try pencil, I haven't drawn with pencil for years and years. This should be fun.

Great drawing! I tried the rubber brush, and it sits in my drawer. It did not work for me. I see that it certainly does the job for you. Funny how that is. I guess I am destined to be dirty! :)

Hi Lon, nice to see you back here again!

Thank you. I only use these rubber things on charcoal, and I still get plenty dirty.

Jean
