Unfortunately, I only had my old 3 mp camera on hand when I photographed this painting. Hopefully, there won't be too much noise for you.

Thanks all for your comments.
This was painted from photos I took. She was five at the time of our sitting, too young to sit extensively from life. The chair was a small "woman's" chair which may throw the scale off a little bit. The painting is 26"x30".
I find taking photographs of children to be like being the lion tamer at the circus. They're really in control. I just get the light and background set up and do my best to manipulate them. Gracie was a little actress and it went easily with her.

Steve, this is wonderful! Thanks for the close-ups. I like the way you've set this up, my eye travels from the lower hand, to the upper hand, to her face, down around the curve of her dress and back up through the hands to her face again. I also like the way you've softened her upper hand so our eyes don't get stuck on the edge of the canvas.
