This is so beautifully executed, Anna - a marvelous drawing demonstrating sensitive line, strong modelling and sharp observation. How wonderful that you are doing this workshop!

I've spent many hours on still life and cast drawings but I don't think I have drawn for so long from life. (Painted, yes; drawn, no.) Was it difficult to get the model to settle into the pose and stay there? I guess what I am asking is, does the contour outline shift and if so, what does the artist do about it as a technical matter?

And, can I ask you about Tony Ryder's "envelope" technique - did you start the drawing using this method?
