I haven't posted here in a while, but I wanted to second the opinion on Jay Moore's video being excellent.
I have actually taken a landscape painting workshop from him, and learned more in two days of that workshop than I have in any other art class I've ever taken. He's very analytical about his painting process, and willing to share information about painting and business that most artists keep to themselves. If you like to paint landscapes, taking a workshop from him is definitely worth the $$ - he teaches a great 4 day workshop in Rocky Mountain National Park in June every year through the Loveland Academy of Art:
