Alex,
I saw this yesterday and when I scrolled up from the last reply I knew it was yours from the colors and brushwork.
It is hard to find the words to describe this truly beautifully picture when you have painted the unspeakably that is about the love of color, light and family.

Thanks Vianna, Lacey, Allan and Grethe! Your words mean a lot to me. That combination of technical stuff (paint handling, etc.) and personal expression is what I strive for and I'm so glad you feel it was successful in this piece.

This is wonderful. GREAT temperature control. I also love the way the shadow is incorporated into the design.
You shouldn't have to beg or pay him. Indentured servitude should be a part of everyone's adolescence. What better would he have to do anyway, right?
Best as always--TE

Yes, then they might realize how good they have it.

Alex,
I am so late in checking in, but I love this painting as well. What a gorgeous kid!
I do think that when begging doesn't work, cash is a good second try..
I so enjoy seeing your new work, thank you for posting!

Are you a woman who loves paint, or what?! (I am sitting here gleefully because I saw this before Alex posted it and I knew it would be a huge hit.) I love the way you manage your color to turn form and the emotion of this strongly designed painting translates so well visually. It's wonderful, Alex.

Thanks, Chris and Linda! And speaking of new work, I'd love to see some of yours, too.
